Convention with Barry and Cisco

Cassian's at the counter in his informal Willix outfit which resembles a simple blue suit that's more formal that what he normally wears.

He left a note for them about a chance to go see a lot of ships at the convention. Today's a good day for them to visit as its the busiest of the convention with the most tourists.

"Barry has to take his run first."

Cassian reminds them then his smile shifts as there's a clomp of boots outside the booth walls.

While Barry goes through his run Cisco coaches loudly from behind.

"Turn, turn. Now swoop down. I said swoop!"

"I'm doing it, I'm doing it," Barry says to Cisco's instructions.

The clomp of boots don't go unnoticed and Barry throws a quick look over his shoulder towards Cassian.

"We alright?" he asks, voice dropping a touch.

As Cisco's yelling, Cassian moves over to glance past the exhibit walls to watch TIE pilots and an officer go by with their 'troopers.

He does a quick count and note of ranks before coming back and gives a small nod to Barry.

"Barry-- Barry-- pay attention!" Cisco says, slapping on Barry's shoulder and pointing as the ship gets dangerously close to crashing.

[run_barry]

Barry nods and then turns his attention back to Cisco and then the sim, jerking the controls just in time to save the ship.

"Oh. Whoop. Sorry, I got it-- "

He brings the craft back under control to finish the run.

"Take another run,"

Cassian appreciates Barry paying attention but he doesn't have to all the time here.

Barry throws Cassian a quick nod.

"I can totally do it better," he says, starting off again.

[makes_the_toys]

"Hey, it's my turn," Cisco protests.

"We have lots of time." Cassian says as the salesman comes over with a laugh. "You're making me look good with how much you like that sim."

[run_barry]

"Yeah, just give me a minute," Barry says, keeping his spot and flying the sim.

[makes_the_toys]

"Fine," Cisco relents.

Looking up at the salesman, he gives a smile.

"Yeah well, we don't have a lot of these kinds of things where we're from."

"While you're waiting, this is our catalog of ships and we also sell sims. For those who can afford their own fleet of pilots or want to hone their own skills." A datapad is pressed towards Cisco.

Cassian stays hovering near the edge of the booth where he recognizes the cartel men pressing on Pan. They turn a corner and he loses sight of them but if they're around then today might have some added excitement.

"Oh? Do tell," Cisco says with an air of buyer's intrigue as he accepts the datapad. "There's a good chance I could be in the market for a fleet of sims."

[run_barry]

"Cisco..." Barry warns distractedly as he tries to focus on the sim.

Hopefully Cassian won't let Cisco sign any leases on spaceships or sims.

"We can customize them for whatever ships your pilots need practice on including the interiors. Then you as an engineer can make adjustments to allow for the work you're doing on your ships." He starts scrolling and then projecting examples of customized sims.

Cassian moves closer to listen and add, "Master Ilo might appreciate a sim suited to his needs."

"Right, right," Cisco nods, ignoring the other two to focus on Mr. Salesman.

"Talk to be about features then. What sort of upgrades can we get on one of these bad boys?"

[run_barry]

Barry starts to turn in his seat and then has to refocus on the sim, guiding the ship around a turn and into a dive before bringing it back up again.

"The sims themselves have a lot of modifications as they can support all kinds of ships. In terms of the seats and consoles, the most common version is a starfighter or racing ship. We also have transport versions as well. If you look over here, you can see some of our interiors. These are made for all our ships and can be adapted to whatever you need."

Cassian moves over to Barry to check in on him as the salesperson talks.

"You might want to jump in before Cisco agrees to buy the lot," Barry tells Cassian while coming around on his final pass.

[makes_the_toys]

"Very nice," Cisco says, impressed. "We're definitely looking for fast. And if you've got something with some flare that would be awesome, too."

"What would you consider flair?" The salesperson considers the question as Cassian walks over.

"Master Ilo has a refined sense of style. We don't want to make too many guesses of what he might like," He says, sounding apologetic because he's only the lackey herding the engineers.

"Leather seats? Spinning rims? A souped up engine that'll melt your-- " Cisco starts rattling off until he's interrupted by Cassian.

Cisco frowns at Cassian, but relents to him.

"Yeah, I guess he has the final say in everything."

[run_barry]

Barry finishes his run and steps back from the sim.

"You have some great stuff here," Barry says to the salesman, trying to pay a compliment in case there's any disappointment over the fact that the man won't be making a big sale to Cisco today.

"I'll take that information," Cassian says with a sincere smile to the salesman who hands over data with a smile that's not as firm as before.
