Convention with Barry and Cisco

Cassian's at the counter in his informal Willix outfit which resembles a simple blue suit that's more formal that what he normally wears.

He left a note for them about a chance to go see a lot of ships at the convention. Today's a good day for them to visit as its the busiest of the convention with the most tourists.

"The sims themselves have a lot of modifications as they can support all kinds of ships. In terms of the seats and consoles, the most common version is a starfighter or racing ship. We also have transport versions as well. If you look over here, you can see some of our interiors. These are made for all our ships and can be adapted to whatever you need."

Cassian moves over to Barry to check in on him as the salesperson talks.

"You might want to jump in before Cisco agrees to buy the lot," Barry tells Cassian while coming around on his final pass.

"Very nice," Cisco says, impressed. "We're definitely looking for fast. And if you've got something with some flare that would be awesome, too."

"What would you consider flair?" The salesperson considers the question as Cassian walks over.

"Master Ilo has a refined sense of style. We don't want to make too many guesses of what he might like," He says, sounding apologetic because he's only the lackey herding the engineers.

"Leather seats? Spinning rims? A souped up engine that'll melt your-- " Cisco starts rattling off until he's interrupted by Cassian.

Cisco frowns at Cassian, but relents to him.

"Yeah, I guess he has the final say in everything."

Barry finishes his run and steps back from the sim.

"You have some great stuff here," Barry says to the salesman, trying to pay a compliment in case there's any disappointment over the fact that the man won't be making a big sale to Cisco today.

"I'll take that information," Cassian says with a sincere smile to the salesman who hands over data with a smile that's not as firm as before.

"Sorry dude," Cisco says, shrugging in an 'it's out of my hands' gesture.

"We'll make sure Master Ilo takes a look at it," Barry promises the man.

Cassian gives a reassuring smile and wave to the salesman and heads them towards another booth. This one with complex inlaid cladding and Pan walks out with a relieved look at spotting Cassian, "Willix."

Cassian walks up and steers Pan into the booth inviting Cisco and Barry in. "Master Ilo is flying a ship from Pan's company. These are Master Ilo's engineers."

"Engineers, good, I haven't had another visit but I've seen them around." Pan gives a nervous twitch out towards the hall.

Following Cassian into the booth, Cisco starts to poke around.

"Yeah, we're top engineers out here scoping the what's what," he informs the man.

"We're just checking out the show," Barry says, trying to downplay Cisco's hype.

"Later I'm going to take them out to the hangar to see the ship." Cassian says as Pan relaxes at the clear sense of something he can do.

He brings out specs and projections of a beautiful sleek ship, "This is what Master Ilo's flying in the race. He's being so generous to me."

Cassian gives Pan a pat on the shoulder, "He enjoys working with your business."

"Ooo, coool," Cisco says, crowding close to get a look. "Obviously you do good work, bud."

[run_barry]

"It's a really nice ship," Barry says, looking over the projection. "Hard to see getting beat in something like that."

Pan beams at them and visibly relaxes, "Its the pride of our company."

Though that doesn't last as before he can get talking more, one of the booth walls acquires a hole as a lilac skinned Theelin peered through, "Oops, guess you'll have to find a way to pay for that. Don't forget that you pay out what you owe first."

Cassian has shifted into a shadow though he's at Pan's back and gives him a reassuring arm squeeze.

Pan for a moment looks ready to cry before saying, "You'll get your credits."

Cisco's smile drops off and he gives the alien an unimpressed look.

"Rude," he says with full disapproval.

Barry's movements are subtle, and he doesn't shift much, but it's enough to put himself between the other three and the stranger.

"Pretty sure interrupting a meeting with someone's client isn't the best way to make sure you get what you're owed," Barry notes mildly.

When Barry moves, Cassian shifts to be closer to backing up Pan.

"Clients, how fancy. Well, they should know that you've gotten yourself in debt to the Hutts. Don't think that your fancy racer will be enough to get you out of this." She says with a smirk.

Cassian quietly says, "Master Ilo will win."

Pan nods, taking strength from all their back up, "Yes, now leave my booth."

She laughs and turns to go adding, "He's not a good investment."

Cisco snorts.

"Yeah? Well you can tell those tubs-- "

[run_barry]

Wherever that insult was going to end, a hard nudge from Barry cuts Cisco off.

"We'll see," Barry says simply, watching to make sure she goes.

She gives a little wave before moving into the crowd. Cassian gives Pan another pat, "That was brave and we'll get you out of this."

Pan slightly deflates and nods, "I think I need some tea."

"Totally," Cisco says. "From what I hear, the Hutts are a bunch of jerks. They'll get theirs someday."

[run_barry]

Barry gives Pan a sympathetic look.

"It'll be alright," he promises.

Cassian goes to make tea for Pan, working quickly to get it into his hands, "Drink this and focus on your work here. We'll go to the hangar and do everything we can to win this."

Pan sits and nods as he sips his tea.
