Convention with Barry and Cisco

Cassian's at the counter in his informal Willix outfit which resembles a simple blue suit that's more formal that what he normally wears.

He left a note for them about a chance to go see a lot of ships at the convention. Today's a good day for them to visit as its the busiest of the convention with the most tourists.

"If you come this way I can show you all the specs as well as a closer look,"

He leads them to an entire engine with an interactive detailed holonet projection. Cassian keeps a little farther behind them, noting various details including a conversation in Huttese that's just beyond the exhibit's walls.

When the man's back is turned to lead them Barry nudges Cisco, mouthing a 'be cool' to him.

He forgets that himself a moment later when they see the engine and projection.

"Woah, cool."

"Sweet," Cisco says, trying to get as close to the engine and projection as he can so he can look it all over.

The salesperson smiles and gives them space, moving over to Cassian, "I'm here if you have any questions. Can I make some caf for all of you?"

"Yes, that would be a good idea. I think we'll be here a while." Cassian says as the conversation outside moves on.

"Lots of sugar in mine," Cisco says over his shoulder, before bending low to get a look at the engine from different angles.

"Ohhh, check it out... "

Barry bends down with Cisco, smiling as Cisco points out things and rambles about them.

It's still a little hard to believe that they're here looking at a spaceship engine that's designed to actually fly out in space.

"Have you heard anymore about who's racing?" Cassian asks the salesperson while Barry and Cisco look and the caf brews. "A few rumors, everyone wants to keep their secrets to hope it gives them an edge. Is it really true that your boss is flying?" There's respect in their voice.

"Yes, but he's a good pilot, but you know how it is. I want to help him." Cassian keeps his voice low and almost apologetic.

"I'll keep listening."

"There's going to be racing?" Cisco asks, turning his attention from the engine after catching that part of the conversation.

Barry caught that part, too, but didn't want to be thought as eavesdropping.

Since Cisco has asked though, Barry turns his attention to Cassian and his friend, waiting for the answer.

Cassian answers, pulling up the race info on his datapad,

"Yes, it should be exciting and Master Ilo's racing in one of the ships being displayed here."

"Oh, right, because we totally knew that," Cisco says, nodding his head. "Being his mechanics and all."

[run_barry]

Barry nods, leaning over to get a look at what Cassian brings up.

"Of course. It'll be great."

"Your advice and knowledge will be useful for his preparation." Now Cassian pulls up the ship that Yamato will be flying in.

The salesperson nods, "I've seen that ship, if it flies as well as it looks, he'll have a chance to win."

"You better believe he's going to win," Cisco brags.

[run_barry]

"We've got a pretty good shot," Barry says, not wanting to take the bragging thing too far.

"Later today I can show the changes we've worked on. I also thought you would want to try out some of the sims that are here." He knows neither of them are pilots but sims are always a good way to understand a ship.

At that the salesman grins, "We have one just over here. I know Master Ilo was pleased with it."

"Sims?" Barry asks, hesitating just a little.

Crashing and burning at something most people tend to do in this galaxy seems like a risk.

[makes_the_toys]

"Oh, yes, sim, let's do that!" Cisco says enthusiastically, not holding Barry's tredations at all.

"I know engineers don't always like them but this is a good one. I've heard complaints about they never behave as they should." Cassian follows the salesman to where there's the bay of two sims, "Let's start with your new ship."

The salesman smiles and starts setting up a sim.

"Sure, let's do that... " Barry agrees hesitantly, casting a glance Cassian's way that's asking whether this is a good idea or not.

[makes_the_toys]

"Sweet," Cisco says, following close behind the salesman. "It's always hard getting all the details right, but I'm sure you do a good job with this one."

"Yes and I know you're not pilots so enjoy the experience."

This isn't a test, its meant to be something fun.

"I'll put it on a setting where you don't have to do as much," The salesman says.

Barry just really doesn't want to blow Cassian's cover here, but if he's not worried about it than Barry won't worry, either.

"Alright. Cool," he says, reluctance giving way to excitement.

"Bring it on." Cisco grins, more than ready for the challenge.

The salesman offers Cisco the sim first which is set up for a racing run that goes up into the atmosphere and back down.

"Have fun." Cassian says and moves to stand beside Barry.
