Swoop Races with Barry and Cisco

The door opens onto a decently lit alley with building's reaching up, ships overhead and a crowd of various alien races moving in the cross-street.

Cassian holds it for Barry and Cisco to walk out, searching up for surveillance and listening for 'trooper boots, "Welcome to Corsin.

"That's a nice one and yes, we can. Want to try something different?"

There are lots of options after all.

"Whatever you recommend," Barry says easily. Barry is eager to try new things here in Cassian's world.

"Yeah, this is the one," Cisco decides, picking up the model reverently. "Totally going in a place of honor in my workshop."

Cassian buys it from the shopkeeper who's not really paying attention to them but watching a holonet report of the crash. Though does take the time to put the model in a bag for Cisco.

Outside Cassian heads back to where they started from and finds a stall with a different selection, less on sticks, more fruits and in buns, "You've got that kind of space?"

"Of course I do, it's where I invent awesome," Cisco says, accepting the bag with a grin.

"Thanks, Cass, this is great."

Barry catches the report and turns his back on the shopkeeper, suddenly awkward and trying to play up complete innocence until they're outside.

"S.T.A.R. Labs is a pretty big facility," he puts in. "Even with a chunk of it still in cleanup there's plenty of room to work and stuff."

"That's nice, its always easier to do anything when you're not crowded. You're welcome,"

That's not something Cassian's had a lot of, the Rebellion's never had much space.

"Well, considering the facility was built to be staffed by like, a hundred people, and there's only three of us now, yeah, we've got room," Cisco says, chuckling.

[run_barry]

"I know having my own space makes my job a lot easier," Barry says with a nod. "When I gotta work on scene with other people it gets tricky staying out of their way."

"That must be a little strange, all that space. Its been me and Kay for a while. I work with other people sometimes but usually not for long. Its easier to change a plan if I only have myself and Kay to look after. What do you want to eat?"

This isn't a topic of conversation he likes a lot, but he tries to be open when he can with them, food is simpler.

"It can be kind of a ghostly reminder, sometimes," Cisco admits. Especially considering they actually lost some people the night of the explosion.

Barry listens to Cassian, then offers, "Well, we're kind of a small team, too, but a part of what helps us out is having a few different people with different skill sets, so that if and when things do go wrong we can come together and find a way to fix it."

Barry is really glad that Cassian has Kay, but Barry is also going to still keep trying to open the door for Cassian to make more friends.

Shifting his attention to food, Barry looks around.

"Something sweet." They've already had savory, time for a glucose boost.

"Yes, there are always ghosts. Here we are, you'll like these, waffles,"

His work and life is full of them, that's why he keeps himself busy and tries to not set too many roots as people go away. He finds a stall selling space waffles and other sweets.

Cisco doesn't quite feel like talking about it, so he just nods and leaves it alone.

He perks up when they get to the waffles, though.

"Can't go wrong with waffles."

[run_barry]

"Yes, thank you," Barry says, rubbing his hands together. "I need a sugar shot after that running earlier."

"That's why you have such a big appetite? No, they're always delicious and they've got a good selection of toppings,"

Its impressive and Cassian starts pointing out fruits and various sauces.

"Oh yeah, everything inside me is amped-up, so my metabolism is crazy," Barry answers, mostly sure no one is listening in.

"I've gotta eat around a hundred thousand calories a day to keep on top of it."

"Yeah, you should've seen him when he first started out," Cisco says, grinning. "Dude was literally passing out on the job."

There's enough crowd noise that no one will hear exactly what they're saying, "Kriff, then its good that you have it sorted out. How many do waffles do you want?"

[run_barry]

"Dude," Barry admonishes Cisco, because that happens to be an embarrassing fact.

Turning back to Cassian, he smiles, "I'll take a couple fully-loaded if that's alright."

"What?" Cisco asks, playing innocent.

"I want one, with whatever passes for chocolate and whip cream here."

He smiles at their banter and comfort with each other, its nice to see then orders lots of waffles. They come in fairly sturdy holders with forks, "That do?"

[run_barry]

"Awesome, thanks, Cassian." The novelty of space waffles is exciting for both young men, and they're quick to dig in.

"We'll have to take you to Central City sometime," Barry says, grinning as he chews. "Return the favor, right, Cisco?"

[makes_the_toys]

"Sure," Cisco nods, looking at Cassian. "I think that would be cool."

And Cisco would be alright with it now if they did.

Cassian eats his waffles with a little upturn of his lips, he didn't expect that offer,

"I'd like that. We're not too far from where we came in."
