Library with Ibani

The door opens onto the library and Cassian stops for a moment to marvel at all the paper books, he's never seen so many before.

In his work he hasn't had reasons to go to libraries and gently reaches out to touch the shelves and see where they might need to go.

"I understand. I don't know how helpful this was,"

It doesn't feel like it was enough.

"You've given me some ideas about where to start," Ibani reassures him. "I hadn't considered the importance of symbols before, for one."

"Symbols echo in ways words can't. And I know that I'm part of a long fight,"

He doesn't know if that's comforting or terrifying.

Ibani hms agreement. "I know I am too, even if I get as far as I plan to. I hope yours doesn't take the rest of your life."

She's pretty sure hers will, and then some.

Cassian shrugs and flips through the holovids to see what he might bring down with him,

"Its taken most of my life already, I expect it to take the rest of it and that I'll die doing it. I just hope I live to see change happen."

"I suspect that's my future too," Ibani replies, smiling grimly. "The odds of my success are, as they say, not so good."

"But we'll keep on anyway, won't we? We're too stubborn to do anything else."

"Oh yes, as long as there's hope,"

He matches her grim smile.
