Swoop Races with Barry and Cisco

The door opens onto a decently lit alley with building's reaching up, ships overhead and a crowd of various alien races moving in the cross-street.

Cassian holds it for Barry and Cisco to walk out, searching up for surveillance and listening for 'trooper boots, "Welcome to Corsin.

Barry's smile returns on Cassian's words, and he nods, glad for the acknowledgement, but more glad he was able to help.

"Let's check it out. If you're up for it." Barry gives Cassian his own doubtful look, hoping the guy isn't really hurt too bad.

"I'll put some bacta on it later, but it probably won't need it. I am," He's good at judging what needs looking at and what doesn't.

Down a block and with about one turn, they end up at a store that seems to have everything swoop related like models, clothing, holovids.

Entering the shop, Barry and Cisco immediately split up and start poking around.

"Wow, this stuff is cool. I should get Joe and Iris something." Of course, not being able to explain where it came from makes that tricky.

"Oh man, models. I need all the models," Cisco enthuses, bending to take a closer look at those on display.

"We don't have that many credits,"

He smiles, the Rebellion never has that much but he's good at finding ways to have enough for what might happen.

"What, they don't take debit cards?" he jokes, then focuses on the task of picking which model to take, since all of them isn't an option.

"Too bad they don't have anything that says 'I got this from another universe'," he laughs.

"Not ones that you would have and you know where its from. What are you thinking about?"

He walks closer to see what they're both looking at. That seems to be the idea and Cassian's doing some calculating, he might be able to have little extra for them. He can wait to buy some of the spices he was thinking about.

"Kidding," Cisco says easily, amused.

The model he's looking at is a lot like the swoop Em Artha had in her race.

Barry keeps looking, but doesn't see anything he really has to have. Besides that, it seems like budget might be a bit tight for Cassian and Barry would much rather Cisco get something.

"I think I'm good," he says, "But if we could hit another one of the food carts before we head out that'd be great."

"That's a nice one and yes, we can. Want to try something different?"

There are lots of options after all.

"Whatever you recommend," Barry says easily. Barry is eager to try new things here in Cassian's world.

[makes_the_toys]

"Yeah, this is the one," Cisco decides, picking up the model reverently. "Totally going in a place of honor in my workshop."

Cassian buys it from the shopkeeper who's not really paying attention to them but watching a holonet report of the crash. Though does take the time to put the model in a bag for Cisco.

Outside Cassian heads back to where they started from and finds a stall with a different selection, less on sticks, more fruits and in buns, "You've got that kind of space?"

"Of course I do, it's where I invent awesome," Cisco says, accepting the bag with a grin.

"Thanks, Cass, this is great."

[run_barry]

Barry catches the report and turns his back on the shopkeeper, suddenly awkward and trying to play up complete innocence until they're outside.

"S.T.A.R. Labs is a pretty big facility," he puts in. "Even with a chunk of it still in cleanup there's plenty of room to work and stuff."

"That's nice, its always easier to do anything when you're not crowded. You're welcome,"

That's not something Cassian's had a lot of, the Rebellion's never had much space.

[makes_the_toys]

"Well, considering the facility was built to be staffed by like, a hundred people, and there's only three of us now, yeah, we've got room," Cisco says, chuckling.

[run_barry]

"I know having my own space makes my job a lot easier," Barry says with a nod. "When I gotta work on scene with other people it gets tricky staying out of their way."

"That must be a little strange, all that space. Its been me and Kay for a while. I work with other people sometimes but usually not for long. Its easier to change a plan if I only have myself and Kay to look after. What do you want to eat?"

This isn't a topic of conversation he likes a lot, but he tries to be open when he can with them, food is simpler.

"It can be kind of a ghostly reminder, sometimes," Cisco admits. Especially considering they actually lost some people the night of the explosion.

Barry listens to Cassian, then offers, "Well, we're kind of a small team, too, but a part of what helps us out is having a few different people with different skill sets, so that if and when things do go wrong we can come together and find a way to fix it."

Barry is really glad that Cassian has Kay, but Barry is also going to still keep trying to open the door for Cassian to make more friends.

Shifting his attention to food, Barry looks around.

"Something sweet." They've already had savory, time for a glucose boost.

"Yes, there are always ghosts. Here we are, you'll like these, waffles,"

His work and life is full of them, that's why he keeps himself busy and tries to not set too many roots as people go away. He finds a stall selling space waffles and other sweets.

Cisco doesn't quite feel like talking about it, so he just nods and leaves it alone.

He perks up when they get to the waffles, though.

"Can't go wrong with waffles."

"Yes, thank you," Barry says, rubbing his hands together. "I need a sugar shot after that running earlier."
