Hangar with Cisco, Barry and Yamato

The hangar's not too far from the main exhibit hall, a walk through busy streets to an imposing building. Inside they walk by many of the real ships that only had models in the exhibit hall and towards a section that's near one of the corner. The ship is gleaming and shining where it waits.

"You're here now,"

Cassian says from where he's leaning with a smile. He knows that Cisco will find even more improvements.

"Sorry, kid," Yamato laughs, rubbing the back of his neck. "But you've got plenty of time to look it over now."

He gives Barry a quick nod back. "He's a good person. Made a bunch of stupid mistakes and was gearing up to make more, but everyone screws up sometimes."

He pauses for a moment, tapping the back of his neck, then gives Cassian a quick glance before looking between Barry and Cisco. "If, er -- I mean, do you two want to come to the race? There'll be ... snacks and stuff ... and some of the other ships competing look pretty cool."

"I'm sure you've got this," Barry assures Cisco, amused.

Replying to Yamato, Barry gives a quick and excited nod.

"Definitely," Barry says. "Of course we wanna watch you win this thing."

Because naturally Yamato will.

"Yeah, lucky you," Cisco says to Cassian.

Equipment pulled from his bag, Cisco climbs into the ship, plugging into the console with a custom diagnostic tool he whipped up when he was working down in the garage in Milliways.

"Alright, let's see what the magic man can do... "

"I'll get you tickets and make certain that you've got good seats." He says with a smile then watches someone walk across the hangar. "I'll leave you to it and get us some cafs and snacks from the cantina next door."

Yamato's eyes flick across the hangar, following Cassian's gaze to watch the same person walk across the hangar. He doesn't push for details: Even assuming that this does have something to do with Cassian's business at the convention, and isn't just a normal snack run, he's sure Cassian would say if he needed back-up.

"We'll be here if you need us," he says instead, giving Cassian a quick nod.

He flashes a grin at Barry a second later, giving a split-second, puppyish bounce. "It'll be, er, great to have you both there. And some of the other ships flying are some really cool sports ships, so you can see those in action, too."

Barry notices Cassian and Yamato watching something and he turns his head. He's not sure what he's looking for, though, and doesn't notice anything interesting so he shrugs it off.

"Too bad we didn't know ahead of time, we could've made signs and stuff," Barry teases. "Cisco has a large-scale printer at the Labs, we totally could've put your head on a giant sign. Master Ilo number one."

From within the ship Cisco is swiping through screens, reading information, turning schematics this way and that and making 'mm-hmm' noises to himself.

Not pausing in his work, he pipes up, "Foam fingers. I could've ordered foam fingers and beer hats, and... whatever else NASCAR spectators have."

"You don't -- I don't -- You wouldn't have actually done that," Yamato says to the idea of a giant sign, turning faintly red. "Even you two wouldn't have done that."

Foam fingers and beer hats, meanwhile, he -- he can see Cisco doing that, at least.

"How's it look?" He asks, nodding in the direction of Cisco's diagnostic device. "It flies pretty well, or at least it did once Willix had spent some time working on it, but any extra improvements would be welcome."

"Mm, wouldn't we have, though?" Barry asks with a 'are you sure look at Yamato.

They may not have, but it's fun to tease.

"Making full-size cardboard stand-ups of people is one of my hobbies," Cisco pipes in.

Because he so would have.

"It looks like someone competent did some pretty good work on this," he replies to Yamato's question. "Now just imagine if it had been a genius with mad skills who'd been working on it."

So yeah, Cisco will allow that Cassian did a good job, it's just that Cisco could've done better.

"Luckily, we've got time." That said, Cisco grabs hold of the console and then wrenches it free, exposing the wiring on the inside. "Let's see what the genius can do... "

Yamato squints at Barry, but he suddenly looks a whole lot less sure about the stance that Barry and Cisco would never do something that embarrassing.

"You wouldn't. You definitely wouldn't," he says to Barry, just a shade uncertainly.

He glances over at Cisco, cracking a quick smile. "Good to see you're having fun."

Cassian returns carrying a full assortment of food and drinks with a look of concentration as if he's worried about tripping. Actually he's thinking about the person he saw who mentioned more accidents at a planet that Cassian has assets based at.

When he arrives he looks up and asks, "What wouldn't they do?"

Barry just throws a grin at Yamato that strongly suggests they so would.

Seeing Cassian returning and apparently working hard to balance all that he's carrying, Barry zips over; standing one moment beside Yamato, and the next he's next to Cassian with both arms held out.

"Need a hand?"

"Start a Master Ilo fan club," Cisco answers Cassian as he chucks a metal part with dangling wiring out of the ship.

"I mean, you've practically already got one on our Earth," he informs Yamato. "You know, your Instagram account already has almost five hundred followers?"

"That's not ..." Yamato starts saying to Cisco, before his chain of thought is momentarily cut off as he sees that metal part land on the floor. "... You're making that up. Stop making stuff up."

He glances over at Cassian and the assorted refreshments, and at Barry ready to help him out, and cracks a quick smile.

"Thanks, Willix. Remind me to pay you back for those, when I get the chance."

Cassian tries to dodge the metal part and laughs at the fan club idea,

"Master Ilo is very popular and I put it on the expense account. Don't you need that?"

Barry will take some of the food load off of Cassian if he'll let him.

Watching the piece go flying and hit the ground, Barry frowns.

"Dude, are you sure you know what you're doing?"

"Hey! How about everyone just let's me do my thing, alright?" Cisco says, tossing another piece out.

"And totally not making it up. You gave me permission, man, and I totally put you on social media. 'ScrappyDigiGuy', I could've done better, but since you're all about the terrible names I thought you'd approve."

[angry_friendship_wolf]

"Oh, I know you'd do it, you mongoose-looking motherfucker, I just don't buy that five-hundred people gave a damn. It doesn't count if four-hundred and ninety-nine of them are just you with different account names."

Yamato does give the piece on the ground a slightly dubious look, before looking mildly alarmed at another piece being pulled out. He's just going to bank on Cisco knowing what he's doing.

"Thanks for the food," he says, quickly meandering over to Cassian and Barry and grabbing a bite to eat. "Everything go okay when you were getting it?"

Just checking that there weren't any problems with whoever-it-was that caught Cassian's attention.

"Something I need to follow up on later to do with work at a factory. I tried to get a mix of everything that's good that they make there. ScrappyDigiGuy is accurate."

Once this mission is over, he'll need to go visiting because he doesn't like the rumors he was hearing of a new port boss.

"I couldn't believe it either, I mean, with your mug?" Cisco says, waving a hand in front of his own face to indicate Yamato's. "I think it's the hair. I get a lot of comments asking about your product."

And... another bit goes overboard before Cisco disappears, crawling into the small space beneath the console.

Barry helps himself to a couple of bites, nodding in approval and adding in, "Yeah, thanks Cassian."

Listening to Yamato and Cassian, Barry worries.

"Something you need any help with?" he asks.

Yamato rolls his eyes at Cisco, although he does at least give a momentary smirk.

"My mug's just fine. I know I'm pretty," he says, before his eyes track the discarded piece of machinery as it bounces across the floor.

He turns his attention to Barry and Cassian, just watching out of the corner of his eye, ready to offer help as well if needed.

"No, its a kind of travel that I'm always doing. Do you have all the specs you need for in there?"

He calls into Cisco as he arranges the food in and around the ladder.
