Swoop Races with Barry and Cisco

The door opens onto a decently lit alley with building's reaching up, ships overhead and a crowd of various alien races moving in the cross-street.

Cassian holds it for Barry and Cisco to walk out, searching up for surveillance and listening for 'trooper boots, "Welcome to Corsin.

Following Cassian, the pair of young men are wide-eyed with jaws dropped when they steop out of Milliways and into Cassian's universe.

Barry looks up at the architecture around them and the ships flying by.

"This is awesome."

"Right?" Cisco enthuses, looking around at all the strange people and creatures going by.

"Hey yo, Barry." Tapping his friend on the shoulder to get his attention, Cisco sets up for a selfie with Barry, which Barry takes with him gleefully.

Cassian smiles quickly at their joy and once he's happy with what he hears says,

"We're going to head towards where the races are held. I have some decent seats, not the best but near an exciting turn."

"Cool. Hey, we just watching, or is there a chance to win some dough on these races?" Cisco asks, snapping pics of everything around them.

[run_barry]

"Any chance we can pick some snacks? I'd love to try out some of the food here," Barry asks, following Cassian and trying to stay out of the way of other people.

"Yes, there's food everywhere. We'll pass food stalls and cantinas, here are some credits, that should cover everything you need. Maybe, gambling's always tricky because it usually has connections to the criminal element. Its not illegal but trouble happens around it. Let me think through my connections while we get something to eat,"

Once he hands over the credits, about the equivalent of twenty dollars for each of them, he takes them onto the main street.

"Bro, what if it ends up being another lizard again?" Cisco asks, making a slight face.

Cisco is fascinated by the credits, and shakes his head at Cassian.

"Don't worry about it. I just wanted to try my luck, but I definitely don't need to end up in hot water with a bookie."

"I'm telling you, the lizard wasn't bad," Barry insists.

He accepts the credits from Cassian and grins. "Thanks."

"Lizard?" The street is louder but its not the main drag, they're moving toward it. There are stalls run by various aliens, cantinas, stores selling everything clothing to modifications for vehicles, "What are you in the mood for? Hot, cold, on a stick?"

"At the party," Barry says. "Turns out some of those buns had some kind of lizard meat in them."

But honestly, Barry liked them! And he wasn't even drunk that time!

Rubbing his hands together, Barry smiles and shrugs.

"Whatever, man. I am up for it all."

"On a stick," Cisco declares. Because street food, on a stick, that's how it should be!

"Oh, you mean dewlap?" They come upon a stall being run by a Sullustan who waves to Cassian, "Jeron, you're back. You're a man who appreciates a properly cooked sausage."

"You've got a good hand with the spices. I'm showing these two students around, give us one of each of your best. We've been walking all day."

"Something like that," he nods.

He smiles when he sees the man, and at the way he greets Cassian, even if he knows Cassian by a different name.

"It smells great."

When Cisco sees the man he gives a little squeak, because well-- things just got super Star Wars up in here.

"Hi," he says, smiling brightly.

Soon they have a collection of various meats and vegetables on sticks with different sauces. As they collect their food, the Sullastan says, "Hello, how are you liking Corsin? I hear a VIP might be coming to watch soon. All the way from the Inner Rim."

Cassian nods, "I'll see if I can find out who around the port."

"Thank you," Barry says, taking his to give it a try.

"Mm, it's good," he says, nodding in approval.

[makes_the_toys]

"It's pretty cool so far," Cisco says, smiling.

"VIP, huh? What, some big time Swoop racer or something?"

"No, probably someone in grey," Its said softly as the Sullastan turns to check on some meat.

"Some of the younger ones like to let loose a little out here. I'll keep listening," Cassian says as he takes a bite while the Sullastan nods at him.

Both Barry and Cisco turn their heads to look around, half expecting this person in grey to be nearby.

"What happens if we run into him?"

[makes_the_toys]

"We're not actually on some secret mission, are we?" Cisco asks suspiciously. "If so, I totally brought the wrong tool-kit for that."

"We won't and no," Cassian says, he's not working today. It was simply chance that there was news at this booth.

The Sullastan laughs as if trying to brush away any worries, "With Jeron, no, go enjoy the races and don't worry about..."

Quickly he says something in his own language, a rapid, liquid sound.

The addition gets an eyebrow raise from Cassian, he hasn't heard that word before, "No, we should keep heading to the track."

Then in Festian, he adds to explain to Cisco and Barry, "Grey is the color of some Imperial uniforms. Not always the highest ones. We try to be careful in how we talk."

Barry doesn't get that last word from the man, and arches a brow at Cassian.

He is glad to be picking up most of what's said, since they're out here without the help of the bar's translation field.

When Cassian speaks Barry parses what he can together thanks to its similarity to Spanish and nods. "We'll be careful."

Cisco is surprised by the Spanish from both of them.

"Right... well, as long as we aren't looking for trouble, I'm cool."

At their answers he nods and also to the Sullastan before heading back down the street. When they're at a point where they're all closer he says, " That was Festian from my home planet, its similar to Spanish. We're not. We're looking for races and for you both to have a good time."

As they keep walking, there are more crowds and every once in a while, a stormtrooper patrol. They pass an astromech painted green and white beeping at a young Kel Dor.

They each nod, and it doesn't take long for excitement to take over again.

Barry polishes off the food they got from the vendor, and grins when he sees the droid.

"Awesome."
